Plant and Play

The City of Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Events Department and Tree Fredericksburg invite you to join them for Plant & Play, a new event celebrating two great outdoor interests: Plants and Playtime.  This is a free event for all ages. Join the fun with outdoor play activities, lectures on native trees and plants, workshops on plant care, photo opportunities and more. 

Tree Fredericksburg will be distributing 7,000 native trees and shrubs that will be on sale prior to the event and pickup of the pre-sold plants will begin at 8 a.m. that morning and continue until noon. Quantities are limited, please be sure to pre-purchase your plants through Tree Fredericksburg. 

Parks, Recreation and Events will host a full roster of activities of outdoor play for adults and children throughout the day. Admission is free for everyone! Donations to the FUNd Park Fund are welcome. Any donations collected by the fund will be used for Education and Scholarships; Natural and Cultural Stewardship; and Park Development and Upkeep in the city.
